MWMB: …Try, Try Again. And Again. And Again!

20111111-074044.jpgOk, ok ! This is funny – really, I swear! I’ve blogged about a lot of the things I’ve done in my new space, from design and decor to the various organizational fun I’ve been playing around with. But I’ve been really struggling with certain personal organization projects in my loft, and I’m facing one particular dilemma that is vexing me something fierce. I need to vent! I hope that by getting this off my chest, I’ll have an epiphany for what really needs to happen for this project to be complete. I said it was funny – but not “ha, ha!” funny, just funny odd and different. Funny in this way because I think I’m pretty good with getting things well organized and in a reasonable amount of time. But I swear to the heavens above, this damn closet project will be the death of me! I’m not that finicky, I just want to maximize the present closet space in the best way possible, using the tools and existing storage items I have to accommodate my clothing, laundry and storage. And for the life of me it’s like shoving a square peg in a round hole; I’m becoming more and more frustrated by the fact I just can’t seem to get it right!

20111111-075030.jpgThe point of this mini blog is none other than to to remind you that, despite best intentions for getting great results on any project, sometimes we fall short of that expectation and have to revisit the project from square one. This often entails a great deal of contemplation and consideration, and ofttimes requires that start all over again and break the project down to its main components: needs vs. wants, available space vs. inventory, envisioned use vs. practical application. In other words, BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD! But it’s really not so bad, considering, when you think about trying to get the best results from the space you’re working with, and desire nothing more than a feasible long-term solution. I mean, like me, you want to maximize your resources and get the utmost efficient use out of the space you’re reworking. So yeah, if it’s a closet, you need to get the most out of it, and that means you may have to work it, rework, and rework it even more. And that’s where I am now, reworking it some more. It’s a challenge, I kid you not! But I know that, in time, and with some diligence and patience, I will have the closet I need to fit my home, lifestyle and needs. It’ll be awesome if can I make it fit my wants, too! But if not, you know me: I’ll try, try again. And again. And yet, again!
